The Gael Linn third level debating competition will take place again this year with the final taking place at the Oireachtas festival in Letterkenny on Saturday 3 November 2012. This competition will be organised in conjunction with Aodhán Ó Deá, Third Level Co-Ordinator with Conradh na Gaeilge and Peadar de Blúit of  USI. Four third level college teams will compete for the Gael Linn/The Irish Times Cup and there will also be cash prizes for the winners.

Gael Linn also provides support for societies in third level colleges who undertake to organise Irish language debating, either within their own college or in collaboration with other colleges. This support may include advice and/or financial sponsorship.
