Three courses are organised during June, July and August each year. The courses in June and July last for 22 days and are open to students aged between 11 and 18 years. They are designed to improve the students’ ability and confidence to communicate with greater fluency in Irish. The courses allow students to use Irish in practical everyday situations. A special computer module forms an integral part of the course and provides the students with a fresh approach to the language.
The course in August is specially designed for those who wish to improve their sporting skills. There is a particular emphasis on Gaelic football, hurling and handball. This course lasts for two weeks and is open to students between 11 and 16 years of age. All coaching classes are through the medium of Irish and a full programme of Irish language classes is also included.
