Scholarship Scheme for Adult Gaeltacht Courses 2024
We are happy to announce that our Scholarship Scheme for Adults funded by
Foras na Gaeilge is now open and we are accepting applications. This is a great opportunity for any adult looking to attend a Gaeltacht course this summer to receive a scholarship valued at
€200 to cover costs of a Gaeltacht course.
To apply for a scholarship, we would like you to answer the following 3 questions:
1. Who are you and what is your background with the Irish language?
2. Why do you wish to attend a Gaeltacht course this summer and which course do you have in mind?
3. Why do you need a scholarship and how would the support of this funding help you?

DEADLINE for applications is 17:00 on Thursday the 22nd of August 2024 - applications received after this date will not be accepted.
NOTE: Gael Linn will not share or use your personal information for anything other than contact regarding successful and unsuccessful applicants.
If you do not have an email address you can send your written application which must include all of your personal details (name, number, home address) plus the answers to the questions to the following address: Adult Education Officer, Gael Linn, 35 Dame Street, Dublin 2, D02 H797.
All applications will be processed and successful applicants will be contacted mid August 2024.
Only one individual person can apply for a scholarship, and any one person will not be awarded a scholarship twice in any two consecutive years so that other applicants have a chance to receive a scholarship.
The scholarship can be used to cover the cost of any adult Gaeltacht course in a recognised Gaeltacht area, and is not restricted to Gael Linn's Gaeltacht courses in Gaoth Dobhair.
