Tráth na gCeist 2024/25
Tráth na gCeist Gael Linn aims to provide students of Irish in Ulster the opportunity to hear the language being spoken in an informal and light-hearted manner and to support the Irish teachers in their endeavours.
ORGANISATION OF EVENTS
Each quiz is for teams of four. There are 6 rounds of questions with 10 questions in each round and team members mayconfer. The preliminary round will be held online. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in each area.
CONTESTANTS
Tráth na gCeist is open to teams of four fromjunior level classes in post-primary schools in Ulster. There is no limit tothe number of teams a school may enter. The junior section is aimed primarily at students of Year 10 although Year 8 and Year 9 students are also allowed to take part.
PRIZES
Prizes are presented to the top two teams from both secondary and grammar schools.
APPLICATIONS
To enter teams and to pay the fee of £5.00/€5.00 per team, maximum 20 teams per school, click on the Application Form at the top of the page as soon as possible and before the 27th September 2024.
