Infromation re. Tráth na gCeist 2020/21
Because of Covid-19 it will not be possible to organise Tráth na gCeist in the usual way in 2020/21. Gael Linn does, however, wish to support the work of Irish language teachers and we wish to offer Tráth na gCeist heats in an on-line format this year.
Tráth na gCeist Gael Linn aims to provide students of Irish in Ulster the opportunity to hear the language being spoken outside the classroom (on-line this year due to Covid-19) at an informal and light-hearted event and to support the Irish teachers in their endeavours.
ORGANISATION OF EVENTS
Gael Linn will provide schools with all the material necessary to organise a quiz among their students at a time that suits themselves. Each quiz is for teams of four. There are 6 rounds of questions with 10 questions in each round and team members may confer. The school will furnish Gael Linn with the names of the four students on the winning team who will participate in the final before 17.00 on 20th November 2020
using this email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in both Grammar and Comprehensive schools in the final which will be held on line.
