Gael Linn welcomes the report on The Independent Review of Educationin Northern Ireland. A review of ‘modern languages’ referred to as one ofthe early priorities represents grounds for optimism.
Gael Linn hopes that thiswill aid in the goal of ensuring that Irish, as a subject, is given an equal footingin our secondary schools in the North. It is now time for the government to acton the recommendations made in the review and ‘invest in a better future’. Ourstudents and education workforce deserve better.
Gael Linn supports Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta in their continuousefforts advocating for equality of provision for the Irish-medium sector andpupils.
