Since the organisation was founded, Gael Linn has been supporting learners and teachers of Irish. Our current programme includes teaching courses for adults and young people, learning support resources and opportunities to use the language.
Gael Linn Colleges
Gael Linn organises summer colleges for teenagers, two in County Donegal. These centres organise courses for teenagers during June, July and August.
Leaving Certificate Preparation Course 2026
This course is for students taking the Leaving Certificate in the 2026 school year. This is an intensive week-long course that will provide a great start to the school year for students sitting the exams, facilitated primarily through the medium of Irish, and covering all aspects of the Leaving Certificate course.

To feel the enthusiasm all classes had for Irish this year was unbelievable. They started at zero in terms of knowledge and exposure and finished the year with a real willingness to use the Irish they had in many settings both inside school and out in the community.

I loved the experience, it was so well organised, welcoming, and the teaching was excellent. Donal took us through all the basics with patience, humour and great skill. Iain was a fantastic director, and the extra-curricular aspect made it a sociable week for everyone as well. I feel motivated to continue learning Irish.
It was flexible - we were able to request which areas we wanted to focus on for the week. There was lots of opportunity to socialise in Irish and learn from people in the higher classes.
