We are pleased to announce that our adult scholarship scheme funded by Foras na Gaeilge is now open and we are accepting applications. This is an opportunity for an adult wishing to attend a Gaeltacht course this summer to apply for a scholarship worth €200 to cover part of the costs of that Gaeltacht course.
To apply for the scheme you only need to answer three questions:
1. Who are you and what experience do you have with the language?
2. Why do you want to attend a Gaeltacht course this summer and what course do you have in mind?
3. Why do you need a scholarship and how would this funding support help you?

The scheme’s deadline for submitting an application is 17:00 on Thursday 21st August 2026 – applications will not be accepted after this date.
Gael Linn will only use your personal details to contact you regarding your application. If you do not have an email address, you can send your application, including your personal details (name, number, home address etc.) and the answers to the three questions, to: Adult Education Officer, Gael Linn, 35 Dame Street, Dublin 2, D02 H797.
All applications will be processed and successful applicants will be contacted by the end of August 2026.
Only one individual can apply for one scholarship, and a scholarship will not be awarded to a particular person two years in a row so that others have a chance to receive a scholarship.
