Scléip

Scléip is a fun and exciting talent competition open to Irish medium post-primary schools, with an emphasis on contemporary arts. Post-primary students are given the opportunity to perform music and songs on stage in front of an audience and professional judges, in theatres across the country.

Uí Dhálaigh Moot Court

This competition is aimed at law students who are fluent in Irish and want to improve their advocacy skills. It gives them the opportunity to practice an entire court case through Irish.

This is a competition for traditional music groups. It is run by Gael Linn with the support of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Irish Music Magazine, to encourage and give a platform to the best of the country’s young traditional music and singing talent.

Opportunities for young people to use Irish in practical, social and natural ways

Gaelbhratach & Scoil Spreagtha - For over a decade, Gael Linn has been at the forefront of providing practical support to schools across the country in promoting the Irish language. The old saying 'speaking a language is life' is true and the structure of our school schemes greatly contributes to normalising the language as a means of communication rather than an academic subject. The entire school community is encouraged to speak Irish more often.
