Beidh an Ceannasaí Airgeadais ag stiúradh straitéis agus bainistíocht airgeadais chomh maith le maoirseacht a dhéanamh ar oibríochtaí airgeadais uile na heagraíochta. Tá duine fuinniúil de dhíth don ról ardbhainistíochta seo atá in ann a bheith solúbtha de réir mar a thagann athruithe i bhfeidhm, a bheith ag obair i gcomhar le foireann agus a bheith ag cinntiú rialachas láidir airgeadais ó lá go lá. Beidh líofacht sa Ghaeilge ina bhuntáiste mór mar bíonn plé le páirtithe leasmhara i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla mar chuid den ról.  

Príomhfhreagrachtaí:  

-Maoirseacht a dhéanamh ar oibríochtaí airgeadais uile na heagraíochta lena n-áirítear buiséadú, réamhaisnéisiú, cuntais bainistíochta a ullmhú agus tuairisciú eagraíochtúil agus tuairisciú dár maoinitheoirí a dhéanamh.  

-An fhoireann bhainistíochta a stiúradh agus a fhorbairt, ag cothú solúbthachta agus meon an fheabhsaithe leanúnaigh.  

-Rialú láidir a dhéanamh ar chúrsaí airgeadais agus costais.  

-Comhlíontacht a chinntiú le riachtanais na maoinitheoirí, an Rialaitheoir Charthanachta, An Oifig Um Chlárú Cuideachta agus Cód Rialachais.  

-Léargas straitéiseach airgeadais a chur ar fáil don Phríomhfheidhmeannach, don Ardbhainistíocht agus don Bhord chun tacú le cinntí a dhéanamh.  

-Cuntais, buiséid agus faisnéis airgeadais a chur i láthair an Bhoird.  

-Athbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar phróisis agus córais airgeadais agus iad a fheabhsú de réir mar is gá.  

-Obair éifeachtach a dhéanamh mar chuid den Fhoireann Bhainistíochta.  

-Cúnamh a thabhairt le próisis cinntithe mar a bhaineann le cúrsaí tráchtála agus oibríochtúla.  

-Bheith i gceannas nó ag cabhrú le tionscnaimh ad hoc de réir mar is gá, ag léiriú solúbthachta agus oscailteachta d’athruithe. 

Riachtanais:  

-Cuntasóir lán-cháilithe (ACA, ACCA, CIMA nó a mhacasamhail).  

-5+ bliain de thaithí i ndiaidh a bheith cáilithe i ról ardbhainistíochta airgeadais.  

-Taithí ag bainistiú foireann airgeadais agus ag obair go dlúth leis an obair laethúil.  

-Tuiscint láidir ar rialacháin agus tuairisciú airgeadais chomh maith le próisis buiséadaithe.  

-Scileanna láidre cumarsáide agus bainistíochta ar pháirtithe leasmhara.  

-Líofacht sa Ghaeilge (labhairt agus scríobh) ina bhuntáiste mór  

-Tá taithí ag plé le hearnálacha na Gaeilge agus/nó na Carthanachta ina bhuntáiste.  

-Scileanna láidre eagrúcháin agus cumas cloí le spriocdhátaí dochta.  

-Tuiscint/taithí ar rialachas agus comhlíontacht.  

-Cumas caidreamh proifisiúnta a fhorbairt agus a chothú, ag cur comhairle ar fáil don fhoireann Bhainistíochta agus don Bhord.  

-Cumas dul i ngleic le tosaíochtaí athraitheacha agus a bheith solúbtha ag plé le cúinsí dinimiciúla.

Head of Finance  

The Role  

The Head of Finance will lead the organisation’s financial strategy, management, and oversight of all financial operations. This senior leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to change, work collaboratively, and ensure robust financial governance from day to day. Fluency in the Irish language is hugely advantageous, as the role involves engagement with stakeholders in both English and Irish. 

Key Responsibilities:  

-Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, statutory and funding body reporting.  

-Lead and develop the finance team, fostering flexibility and continuous improvement.  

-Maintain strong financial and cost controls.  

-Ensure compliance with Funding Bodies, the Charities Regulator, CRO and Governance Code.  

-Provide strategic financial insight to the CEO, Senior Management and Board to support key decision-making.  

-Present Accounts, Budgets and Financial Data to the Board.  

-Review and improve internal financial processes and systems where necessary.  

-Work effectively as part of the Management Team.  

-Contribute to commercial and operational decision-making processes.  

-Lead or assist on ad hoc projects as required, demonstrating adaptability and openness to change. 

Requirements:  

-Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).  

-5+ years experience post-qualification in a senior finance leadership role.  

-Previous experience managing finance teams and working in a hands-on role.  

-Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and budgeting processes.  

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.  

-Fluency in the Irish language (spoken and written) is highly desirable..  

-Experience in the Charity or Irish Language based sectors is an advantage.  

-Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.  

-Knowledge of governance and regulatory compliance.  

-Ability to build and sustain effective and professional working relationships; being a trusted advisor to Board and Management team.  

-Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly in a dynamic environment.
